EIZ pays glowing tribute to former Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development

ENGINEERING Institution of Zambia (EIZ) has paid glowing tribute to the former Minister of Housing and Infrastructure Development Minister Ronald Chitotela for his untold contribution towards the growth of the institution during his tenure of office.

In a goodwill message sent to the new tourism minister who is also Pambashe lawmaker, EIZ President Eng. Sydney Matamwandi thanked Hon. Chitotela for the exemplary leadership that he exhibited while at the helm of the ministry.

“Thank you Honourable Minister for having superintended on the affairs of the Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure Development, the line ministry for the Engineering Institution of Zambia. We also thank you for the excellent service to the people of Zambia during your tenure in that office.” Said Mr Matamwandi.

He highlighted some of the remarkable strides that the Institution has acquired during his tenure

“Under your supervision, EIZ received maximum assistance and candid counsel to enable us discharge our mandate”

Mr Matamwandi also congratulated the Minister for being moved to the Ministry of Tourism and wished him well as he continues to serve the people of Zambia.

“I would also like to congratulate you and wish you all the best as you begin another tour of duty to serve the Zambian people at the Ministry of Tourism.” Added Eng. Matamwandi

He further informed the Minister that the Institution will continue to interact with him as it partners with the Ministry of Tourism on various events.

“We will be writing to you formally through official channels seeking partnership with our institution ahead of the Africa Engineering Conference being held in Livingstone on 15-21 September 2019 which is not only an Engineering affair, but an important tourism event. For that reason, we are engaging the Zambia Tourism Agency to partner with us.” He said

Mr Matamwandi has also thanked President Lungu for the unwavering support he continues to render to the institution.
