Patriotic Front (PF) Copperbelt Provincial Chairman MCC. Nathan Chanda has led cabinet ministers in asking for the residents of Lubwa to vote for PF candidate Julius Kaunda.
Addressing thousands of Lubwa ward residents at Riverain Primary School for the grand finale PF campaign rally today, MCC Chanda said a PF Councillor will be able to lobby for what the people want.
“You the Councillor have grown up in Lubwa ward and you know what the challenges of the people in the communities here. Work for these people. What the people are complaining about is water, the meter system, land rates have gone up. As you go into the Council chamber, use your authority to propose for legislation that will benefit the people of Lubwa.
“It will be very easy for this Councillor to go to the MP to ask for Constituency Development Fund. It will be very easy for the Councillor to go and ask the Mayor for Ward Development Fund and for this reason, we are kindly asking you to vote for Julius kaunda tomorrow as ward councillor for LUBWA,” Mr Chanda said.
And the Kwacha Member of Parliament Hon Joseph Malanji who is also Foreign Affairs Minister said issues of plots in Mwaiseni township will be addressed only through a PF Councillor.
Ndola Central Member of Parliament Hon Emmanuel Mulenga who is Youth and Sports Minister said the people of Lubwa should continue to believe in the PF.
Meanwhile, Mines Minister Richard Musukwa said efforts by UPND president Hakainde Hichilema and NDC president Chishimba Kambwili to accuse President Edgar Lungu of tribalism in Southern Province are baseless.
And Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kangombe said it is not true that the Kitwe council will demolish plots in Mwaiseni area because PF is a pro poor and caring Government.
Others who addressed the rally included Community Development Minister Kampamba Mulenga-Chewe who is also deputy campaign manager who adviced the PF candidate Julius Kaunda to work like the area MP Hon Joe Malanji in delivering development to the people once elected into office.
Others were Kamfinsa MP Elaro Musonda and the District Chairperson Mr Chilufya.
And former UPND Lubwa Ward Deputy Campaign Manager James Banda resigned and vowed to work with the PF. Mr Banda said he failed to work and campaign with UPND because the opposition political party do not have an agenda for the country.
