Minister of Commerce Trade and Industry Hon. Christopher Yaluma says he is enthralled with many Zambian companies who have embraced value addition on raw commodities.
The minister was speaking after touring stands at the ongoing 93rd Agriculture and Commercial show in Lusaka which is being commemorated under the theme “Embracing Industrial Development.”
He shared the view that the issue of exporting raw commodities is now the thing of the past, as Zambian companies are now able to produce commodities and process them within the country for increased value addition.
He further encouraged Emerging Zambian Entrepreneurs to embrace Governments diversification agenda.
And from his tour Mr. Yaluma observed that the agriculture sector has produced and processed a lot of products, which he said will be able to push the economy in the right direction with enhanced capacity.
Mr. Yaluma also commended mining companies who are processing minerals locally, and encouraged them to continue helping Government in shaping the country’s economy.
