Vice President Inone Wina is on Thursday expected in Mongu district on a four-day working visit.
Mrs Wina is expected to arrive at Mongu Airstrip at 16:00 hours and will immediately proceed to pay a courtesy call on The Litunga, Lubosi Imwiko the second, at his Palace in Limulunga.
The Vice President will on Saturday be accompanied by First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda as she launches the Arthur Wina Memorial Hospital among the many projects she is going to inspect in province.
Western Province Permanent Secretary Danny Bukali confirmed this to ZNBC in Mongu today.
Mr Bukali explained that the Vice President will on Sunday join the people of Sianda in Nalolo District to commemorate One hundred years of Sianda Primary School.
The Vice President will conclude her visit in Kalumwange area by inspecting the water reticulation project where government is sinking boreholes in order to provide safe drinking water for the people.
Meanwhile, Mr Bukali said the hunger situation in Western Province is being exaggerated by people who do not have information from the ground.
He disclosed that government through the Disaster Management Mitigation Unit – DMMU- has increased the tonnage of relief food being sent to the province to ensure that all the people that are in need are helped.
