The local complement of Chipolopolo boys will this afternoon (Monday) have a friendly game with Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium as the Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic zeroes in on the African Nations Championship (CHAN) preparations.
Foreign based players that had been called for the FIFA window assignments have jetted out to their various bases.
The technical bench was using the FIFA window assignments to refine the team ahead of next month’s Africa Cup of Nations double header against Botswana and also the CHAN tournament in Cameroon in January.
Local players that have shone in national colours having beaten Malawi 1-0 on October 7 before being edged out 2-1 to Kenya as Micho fused in foreign based players.
In the final full strength assignment for Zambia against South Africa, it was an improved all round performance for the Chipolopolo.
The onus will be on the likes of Sebastian Mwange, Zachariah Chilongoshi, Kondwani Chiboni, Benson Sakala, Kelvin Kapumbu, Emmanuel Chabual and Kelvin Kampamba. Others to look out for are Chaniza Zulu, Gozon Mutale, Amity Shamende and Godfrey Ngwenya among others.
The match kicks-off at 15:00 hours.
