The Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Hon Davies Mwila has said His Excellence President Lungu has committed himself to a clean and issue based campaign without insults or violence.
Hon Mwila mentioned that the Head of State has directed that the party engages in healthy political debates as opposed to engaging in demeaning statements that raise unnecessary political tension.
He said this when he re-launched the PF Interactive Forum in Lusaka yesterday.
“To this effect, he has commissioned the party manifesto 2021 to 2022 to help discuss with Zambians our social contract on the development and aspiration of our people for this country,” he said.
“The party manifesto has recognised the massive developmental achievements that the PF government has achieved from 2011 to 2021.”
Meanwhile, the party Secretary General implored other political parties to condemn violence ahead of this year’s polls.
He stressed the need for political leaders to engage in debates that build and unite the country and not divide.
Hon Mwila said politicians should also engage in debates that promote dialogue as opposed to hate speech or insults.
