INCOMING Patriotic Front (PF) Member of Parliament for Kitwe’s Kwacha Constituency Hon Joseph Malanji has flagged off an initial distribution of privately sourced 27,000 PF campaign T shirts and 18,000 × 2 metre branded chitenge materials in Kwacha.
He made the announcement earlier today during a consultative meeting with the Constituency and Ward Officials and in the presence of all the Seven PF aspiring Councillors who are also Campaign Managers in Kwacha.
Hon Malanji who has extended the gesture to some constituencies on the Copperbelt, North Western and Western Provinces says political party regalia is not the strength of the campaign but is meant for identification and works towards spicing the campaign morale.
Each of the aspiring Councillors have been allocated Tshirts and Chitenge for distribution with a mandate to engage the people on what the ruling party under the able leadership of His Excellency, President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has been able to achieve.
“We must harness Kwacha’s over 61,000 newly registered voters for His Excellency, President Edgar Chagwa Lungu. Churches in this constituency used to hire busses when traveling but that is not the case.
We have assisted them own busses. Marketeers and Traders have revolving fund in Kwacha.
We have built health facilities, classroom blocks, Police Posts and Youths have been empowered,” said Hon Malanji.
“Remind our people of were we are coming from and use our 2021 – 2026 Manifesto as a blueprint of were we are taking them.
We must adhere to the COVID-19 public health protocols provided by the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) through door to door campaigns! And had ECZ not suspended roadshow campaigns, Kwacha was going to come to a standstill today.
Tell our youths that we will construct Changanamai Stadium immediately after campaigns.”
Meanwhile, Malanji, who is also PF Member of the Central Committee, took time to engage traders on PF’s developmental agenda at both Bulangililo and Ipusukilo markets much to their excitement.
Chants of “alebwelelapo”, utupundu and solidarity by way of the clenched Fist characterized Hon Malanji’s interaction with marketeers and road users as they reaffirmed their love and support for President Edgar Chagwa Lungu and their beloved ‘Bonanza’.
