… _as he tells the people of Chienge not to make the same mistake they made in 2016 by voting for an independent candidate.
Patriotic Front (PF) Secretary General Hon. Davies Mwila has challenged party officials in Chienge district to work hard to ensure that the party returns the parliamentary seat it lost in 2016 to an independent Candidate.
Speaking when he addressed the officials and Candidates at Mununga Secondary School, Hon. Mwila stated that the people of Chienge have an opportunity this time around to redeem themselves by voting for a PF candidate.
Hon. Mwila charged that Chienge district has lagged behind in terms of development for the last five years because people in the area made a mistake of voting for an independent.
The PF Chief Executive Officer explained that it is difficult for government to implement developmental projects in a constituency where the elected MP is not willing to work with it.
Hon. Mwila has since asked the people of Chienge to give the PF a uniform of elected candidates in the August 12 polls if they want to see real development.
The PF Secretary General is in Luapula Province on a three days working visit and is expected to wrap up his busy schedule on Saturday.
Earlier, Hon. Mwila paid a courtesy call on Chief Mununga.
He was accompanied by Pampashe PF candidate Hon. Ronald Chitotela, Kawambwa candidate Nickson Chilangwa, National mobilization Secretary Brian Mununka and other party officials.
