Patriotic Front ( PF) Secretary General Hon Davies Mwila has is optimistic that the ruling PF will have more Members of Parliament from Western province in the August 12 general elections.
Speaking when he addressed party officials and adopted candidates in Nkeyema today, Hon Mwila charged that western province is no longer a UPND stronghold.
Hon. Mwila stated that it is evident from what he witnessed that the people in Western province want to work with the PF government.
He has however challenged party officials to work hard to ensure that Western province becomes a PF stronghold.
The PF Chief Executive Officer said President Lungu wants to work with everyone hence the people of Western province must ensure that they give him MPs from the region.
Hon Mwila stated that it will be very easy for the government to implement projects in the province if people elect candidates from the ruling party.
Meanwhile, Hon. Mwila has urged party officials to engage in issue based campaigns based on the party’s 2021-2026 manifesto.
He said party officials must also tell people what the PF government has achieved in the last 10 years the party has been in power.
Hon. Mwila is in Western province on a three day working visit.
He is accompanied by Hon. Peter Kazhila MCC, Captain Walusiku Liambela, National mobilization Secretary Brian Mununka, Secretariat Director Administration Alick Tembo, Media Director Antonio Mwanza and other party officials.
