…as 70 UPND members in Choma’s Singani ward defect to the Patriotic Front
The Rulling Patriotic Front has continued to gain numbers in areas perceived to be opposition strongholds.
The latest to Join the party where everyone counts are 70 members from the opposition UPND in Choma’s Singani ward who have since ditched the Hakainde Hichilema led party citing poor leadership.
The defectors were received by PF Southern Province Presidential Campaign Vice Coordinator Kebby Mbewe.
And Speaking on behalf of other defectors, Alex Nawa said the development being rolled out countrywide has attracted them to the Party.
He said President Edgar Lungu is determined to leave no one behind hence the need to give him another mandate to lead the country until 2026.
And MCC Mbewe commended the defectors for making the right decision to Join the winning party.
“You have made a wise decision to Join PF because UPND politics has no direction,” he said.
MCC Mbewe said it is a well known fact that President Edgar Lungu is winning the August 12 elections because of the massive support he enjoys from the Zambian People.
He said this has made the UPND to run out of strategies and resorted to campaign even at funerals.
“The UPND is no longer the way it was in Southern Province.
It is becoming weak everyday.
It is slowly melting like ice cream,” he said.
